No. Pool waits to be asked. You and your partner can talk to each other freely; the AI only responds when one of you taps it in. The room is yours.
No. You create a session and share the link. Your partner joins with their own free account; only the session creator’s plan determines which features apply.

On Pro and Enterprise, you can connect your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, or Groq. Usage on your own key does not count toward your monthly limit — you pay your provider directly at their rates.
Google’s Gemini Flash family — paid plans use Gemini 2.5 Flash, the Free plan uses Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite. Pro and Enterprise users can bring their own key to use other providers instead.
